Wedding Do's and Dont's

So much time, money, and effort is wasted on details that don't necessarily reflect the spirit of the two people getting married. The most important thing about a wedding is to preserve the gaiety. Being prepared far in advance helps everyone to really enjoy the special event. Happiness is what this event is about. There are many different weddings these days. From casual, unique to formal. No matter what your wedding will be like, you want it to be perfect. It's really not about what you wear or how big and fancy it is, but about you and your husband and reflecting your own personal style. In our business, we are here not only to make you feel beautiful, but to offer you every thing you might need before the special day. Here are a few things to think about and when you should prepare and book ahead.

Six Months
~DO consult with a salon and a hairdresser. If you have already chosen a dress and veil, bring your veil and a picture of your dress to your consultation. Hairdressers need to be able to design your hair for the veil and dress.
~DO schedule your appointments at this time to reserve your desired times and services for the week and day of the wedding.
~DO to schedule a trial run for about a month out to make sure the style you are thinking of what works with your dress and veil. Decorating the hair, from a simple ribbon to lace and pearls, barrettes, flowers, and tiaras, there are many options for adding to your look. DO ask your hairdresser for recommendations. Getting used to the style a few weeks before will help you feel more relaxed at the alter.
~DON'T cut or color your hair at the last minute! Even with the most experienced stylist, accidents can and do happen. DO leave enough time to fix anything that might potentially go wrong. Not every one has long hair so be mindful that your cut needs to fit the dress as well.
~DON'T forget mom. DO treat her to different things that will make them look and feel great too. Book her appointments at the same time you book yours.
~Anti-aging for the mature bride, or mom, or should be started 3 to 4 months before the special occasion.
~DO think about the wedding party. Great gifts for them could be services as well.

Four to Six Weeks
~DO think of your skin. Start having regular facials, especially if you are having breakouts, as this does not repair itself overnight. Many things can be done to calm down and make your skin flawless. The old thought that facials make you break out is very wrong. Yes, facials can bring out something that is going on under your skin, but that is why a thorough cleansing will make a difference in making you look your best.
*Acne prone skins want to start at least 3 to 4 months ahead so we can clear the skin, get it under control, and improve the texture and scarring.
~The Paraffin Facial is the ultimate in hydration. This facial plumps the skin and temporarily reduces wrinkles. This facial is perfect for photos for a wedding or any occasion.
~DON'T forget back facials if you have a problem with breakouts on your back.
Brides are best looking innocent and natural but if you would like some color come the big day either Spray Tan or go to a Tanning Booth.

Three to Four Days
~Moms always cry, so if they have light eyelashes, lash tints are wonderful. You don't have to worry about mascara running down your face and you will see every lash as it really brings out the eyes.
~Brows are a very important feature and can make a big difference in opening up the eyes and making your face look polished and put together. Not only is it nice to wax the brows, underarms, facial hair, bikini, and legs should be done at the same time.
*If you have never done any of these, you should start months before to begin a regular routine.
DON'T spray tan the day before! It will invariably rub off on your beautiful white dress.

Two to Three Days
~DO exfoliate your body so your skin looks smooth and soft.
~We offer body polish made of sea salt and essential oils that help eliminate toxins and stimulate the lymphatic system. This treatment helps improve those unsightly bumps, usually on the arms. This treatment is not only relaxing, your skin never felt so good.

One to Two Days
~DO your nails.
~The prettiest and most appropriate for the bride are French manicures or very pale pink colors. If you must have a wilder color, put it on your toes. But the best is a more natural look.
*Manicures are great gifts for the bridal party.
~DO take the time to relax with a massage. It takes only an hour to unwind from all the stress of a wedding. You need to take the time to relax so you can fully enjoy the days ahead. You will always find the time to finish up what needs to be done.

The Wedding Day
~DON'T forget to bring your veil, any ornaments or flowers for your hair.
~DO wear something that buttons to your appointment, so you don't have to pull it off over your hair.
~DO be on time, eat lightly, and take Vitamin B if you have had too much to drink the night before. This is good to do before you go to bed also.
~DON'T wash your hair that day if you have fine, smooth, silky hair. If your hair is oily, Do wash it.

Enjoy the wedding planning
&
especially your big day!
